Description
Artist meticulously hand painted 3 1/4″ tall glass spice jar with colorful images, text, uses, leaves and folklore around the 6″ circumference. Attached lock top lid with rubber seal. Acrylic paints on glass sprayed with a clear varnish for a glossy finish. One tough glass container for its size.
**Price REDUCED from $7 to $4 due to the metal clasp on the attached lock top lid being a bit finicky when opening and closing jar.
Basil is emblazoned in bright green letters against a black background. A menacing scorpion looks on against a brilliant yellow gradient background to depict a folklore belief that basil can protect one from the creature. A detailed image displays the Empress Helena finding the herb on the original cross according to Greek Orthodox history. Little transparent cups of smoothies against a dark maroon background are made with the herb. White text against a deep maroon background claim the spice can attract great fortune and wealth. Go get that herb! Detailed leaves are hand painted against a white background.
HAND CLEAN ONLY the inside with a little soap on a damp cloth. Do not put in the dishwasher as the rubber seal will melt and compromise the acrylic painted images.
