Description

Artist meticulously hand painted 3 1/4″ tall glass spice jar with fun characters, colorful text, history and medicinal benefits around 6″ circumference. Attached lock top lid with rubber seal. Acrylic paints on glass sprayed with a clear varnish for a glossy finish. One tough glass container for its size.

Thyme is hand painted in bright green letters against a black background for a high contrast. Uses are depicted by images of roast beef on a plate and flaky rolls against a blue background. An ancient Egyptian holds two embalming jars with text of history. The bright yellow to burnt sienna gradient background makes the image pop. More history is rendered with a Roman soldier holding a sprig to purify the room. Above, on a white column, is a wine bottle and slice of cheese which they flavored with the spice. Medicinal benefits are outlined in text on another side with a flowering herb plant. Detailed leaves against a white background also adorn a side against a white background.

HAND CLEAN ONLY the inside with a little soap on a damp cloth. Do not put in the dishwasher as the rubber seal will melt and acrylic painted images compromised.
