Artist meticulously hand painted 3 1/4″ tall glass spice jars with colorful images, herb names, plants, uses, history and fun characters. Glass jars are in a beautiful gift box with an Angel on the lid playing an instrument. Attached lock top lids with rubber seals. Acrylic paints on glass sprayed with a clear varnish for a glossy finish. Tough glass containers for their size!

Carom, also known as Ajwain, is hand painted in bold green letters against a black background. Text depicts the health benefits of the herb, along with a fun and happy character displaying a healthy body. Additional text, against primary blue background, describes the taste and medical use. A detailed leaf of the herb is hand painted against a white background. The small fruits are pale brown schizoarps with an oval shape resembling caraway seeds.

Chervil is known as French Parsley and rendered in bright green letters against a black background. A gourmet chef is illustrated above. A delightfully jolly character looking like a Buddha, illustrates how the herb aides the tummy in digestion. The plant is detailed against a white background. The herb can help lower blood pressure.

Flax Seed is spelled out in bright green letters against a black background. Text describing the nutrients pops out from a bright yellow background. A detailed image of the flowering plant and capsules is hand painted around a side of the 6″ circumference. An ancient Egyptian with a staff looks on as the Dzudzvana Cave is in the scene and a wooden spoon pouring out seeds. The herb was found there 30,000 years ago.

Sorrel is used in soufflés, omelets and sauces. The name is hand painted in bold green letters against a black background. A gourmet chef holds a steaming pot of soupe aux herbes. Leaves of the plant are rendered around another side against a white background.

HAND CLEAN ONLY the insides of the glass jars with a little soap on a damp cloth. Do not put them in the dishwasher as the rubber seals will melt and compromise the hand painted images.
