Description

Two 3 1/4″ tall glass spice jars hand painted with colorful characters, images, text, uses and history around their 5 3/4″ circumferences. Attached lock top lids with rubber seals. Acrylic paints on glass sprayed with a clear varnish for a glossy finish. Tough and durable glass containers for their size.

Sage is hand painted in bright green letters against a black background. Realistic leaves are rendered with a white background. A detailed snake depicts that Sage was thought to cure bites. An evil black entity is displayed to show that the herb wards off evil. Really? Middle Ages King Charlemagne cultivated Sage and it was an ingredient in Four Thieves Vinegar. Little white bunnies hand painted at the bottom signify that Sage can increase fertility. Again, really?

Basil is spelled out in bright green letters with a black background. The leaves are detailed against a white background. Hand painted text informs that Sage is part of the mint family. With a scorpion image, the text explains that if bitten by one, no pain would be felt due to eating Sage. An engaging ancient Egyptian against a blue background holds sage to be put into a tomb to ensure a safe journey.

The beautiful gift box is gorgeously decorated with earth tones. Very detailed images of bees, butterflies, flowers and plants adorn each side and on the lid of the gift box.

HAND CLEAN ONLY the inside of the glass jars with a little soap on a damp cloth. Do not put glass jars in the dishwasher as the rubber seals will melt and compromise hand painted images.

Free Priority shipping with tracking. Both glass spice jars are sold empty.

The perfect, one of a kind gift for anyone who loves to use herbs!
