Description
Whimsically hand painted 3 1/4″ tall glass spice jar is bursting with color. Chives is spelled out in bright green letters and a realistic plant are hand painted around the 6″ circumference. Fun facts, uses, history and folklore are depicted with images and text. Attached lock top lid with rubber seal. One tough glass container for its size!
A colorful and detailed Romanian gypsy holds a bunch of chives which were used to tell fortunes. A Japanese beetle is painted above the gypsy with a sky blue background. Chives were known to repel them, along with other insects. Acrylic paints on glass sprayed with a clear varnish for a glossy finish.
HAND CLEAN ONLY the inside with a little soap on a damp cloth. Do not put glass jar in the dishwasher as the rubber seal will melt. Glass jar is sold empty.
